  2. Santiago is a city where you can meet and do different things. I personally recommend to athletes a trekking on San Cristóbal hill, which has a duration of one hour, at the end of the walk you can try a tasty "mote con huesillo" (Chilean dessert) to cool off. On the other hand, the not so reckless can reach the top through a funicular and appreciate the beautiful view, as well as the view of the statue of the Virgin Mary.

  3. Bellavista neighborhood is a well-known tourist spot in Chile, due to its many art galleries, cafes, restaurants, colonial architecture and night life; it is for all this that I consider it a highly recommended place. On the other hand, its location allows you to know other nearby tourist destinations, such as Cerro San Cristóbal, where you can make multiple recreational activities, such as trekking and cycling. Therefore it is feasible to visit and enjoy both places in the same day!

  16. In my opinion, the best place for visit in Santiago is Bellavista. Bellavista is a place where you can do different activities. In the day you can go to eat different kinds of meals and a variety of prices. You can go to the usually more expensive Bellavista patio or you can go to small shops that are cheaper. On the other hand, at night life is very active, there is a street where there are several places to drink alcohol and at a very cheap price, one could say that it is a university district.
Very close to Bellavista are Cerro Santa Lucia and Cerro San Cristobal, which are very important tourist attractions. It's also a place where you can meet people, but in my opinion it's for young people.

  17. Santiago is a big city and has a so many adventures for everybody, children, young and elderly people. My favorite place is Museum of Memory and Human Right, it is in the opossite of Quinta Normal Metro Station, entrance is free. In the Museum you have to be quiet. You can eat and walk all over the place. This museum shows the era of military dictatorship and all its consequences. i always recommend this place because it is very important for Chilean history.

  18. The first thing I would recommend you do if you are in Santiago is to visit the San Cristobal hill, which is located above the metropolitan park. This hill allows you to see a beautiful view of the city both day and night because the hill has 3,000 feet and as if this were not enough, you can visit the metropolitan zoo that is in the same place. I would also recommend going to the museum of human rights, a place where victims and detainees who disappeared during the military dictatorship are commemorated, paying tribute to them through photographs and stories. Without a doubt, these are two places that you should not miss.

  21. Santiago is one of the most interesting cities to visit in Chile. It is the capital of Chile, so many attractions tend to be here. In particular, I think that a good way to get to know a city is by visiting the popular places, which have a story that counts on its own. An example is the "Plaza de Armas" or the "Central Market". Another way is to visit the museums, but if you come in family, you must visit the "Mirador Interactive Museum".

At the top of this hill you can see the city of Santiago below you, with the immense mountains of the Andes in the background. You can get up walking or cycling, as you can see many of the locals doing, driving or on the Bellavista funicular. Finally, If you have time, I would also recommend going to the "sky costanera".
